FAQ

 

1. Can I engrave metal, stone, ceramic, glass,plastic and other materials ?

Hard materials such as metal and stone cannot be engraved. Ceramic and glass materials need to be added with a thermal transfer layer on the surface to be engraved (the details of use will be provided on the official website).

 

2. How to choose the wanted picture ?

You can select photo in the mobile phone on the app, or transfer the picture or vector file into a G-code file in the phone through the computer. After the G-code file is transferred, the engraving speed will be accelerated. The specific conversion tutorial will be on the official website.

 

3. Does it have consumables and how long does it last?

The laser module itself has no consumables; the life of the laser source is more than 10,000 hours, which is equivalent to 9 hours of continuous use for 3 years.

 

4. Can I engrave on a concave or spherical object?

Yes, but the shape of the arc is too large to be carved over large graphics, otherwise there will be slight deformation.

 

5. How can it supply power, can it be taken on airplane?

There is no battery inside, and it needs to be connected to a stable Type-C power supply of 5V/2A or above. It can also be powered by powerbank. It can be taken anywhere with you.

 

6 About Special Materials ?

White, transparent, translucent, reflective materials cannot be directly engraved.You can use whiteboard pen to color the surface of engraving and then engrave. After etching, you can wipe the color off;

 

7. Materials can’t be carved and the engraving is not continuous?

It ocur because the telescopic part of the bottom of the tripod is not completely pulled out which causes the height is too low to engrave.

 

The recommend distance is 190-200mm that is the height of the laser emitting lens from the surface of the object to the engraved item

 

8 How to choose the appropriate mode or power/depth parameters?

The app has recommended parameters for different materials that you can choose Or you can also adjust the power and depth parameters

 

Tips: Power means the amount of laser energy; Depth means the dwell time of the laser point.

 

9 Safety-related problem

Your safety is always our first concern, LaserPecker Pro comes with protective shields, a pair of goggles. Also, the machine has motion detection, password lock and overheats shutdown functions for safety concerns. When the engraving creates smoke and fumes, it can be exhausted by the fan built-in the supporting stand.

 

10 What is the pixel of the machine? Does the picture clear enough when you are engraving?

The pixel is 1000X1000. Switch between picture processing mode can help you engrave clearer pictures accordingly.

 

11 Engraving area, focus length

From a 0.4mm dot to a 100X100mm area. Focus length 200mm: the distance from laser mirror plane to the surface of engraved item

 

12 Can I separate a big project into different parts?

Yes, you can turn on Continuous Preview from mode setting in the app. After turned on, you can fast and accurately determine the engraving area.

 

13 What’s the power of the machine? Can you adjust the power?

Currently the output rating is 1.6w. Yes, you can adjust the power.

 

14 Do you need to maintain a Bluetooth connection at all times?

Yes, but during the carving process can be disconnected, does not affect the work of the equipment

 

15 What is the deepest depth of wood and plastic carving?

The adjustable depth and power of the LaserPecker APP are 5%-100%. The different hardness of the same material will result in different depth.

 

16 Can I engrave on white color objects?

To engrave on white objects, you need to paint the surface with a whiteboard marker to ensure there’s no laser power loss as the white material features high photo permeability

 

After Purchasing

1 Can’t get the verification code by entering the mobile number/ the email address in the account input box.

Generally, LaserPecker verification email takes a few minutes to receive, please wait patiently for a few minutes or check in your spam

Kindly suggest keep your phone connected with networking or Wi-Fi when registering

Use different type of phone ( such as android,ios) or email ( kindly suggest gmail ) to try again

 

2 Can not get the right code?

There are two code that one 4 digit code is verification code which can be sent your email : 6 digit code is safety code that need you set, Don’t misunderstanding them

 

3 Can not connect to Bluetooth ?

For Android, plz turn the bluetooth and location swith on in your phone setting

For IOS, plz turn the bluetooth swith on in your phone setting, then Launch the app, search for Bluetooth, enter the Bluetooth search results interface, find the Bluetooth code, and click it to connect

 

4 Display is a black screen ?

The setting of phone has conflict with our app ; Open Settings> General> Reset> Reset all settings in your phone

BTW, the data of phone will not be erased which you don’t need to worry about it.

 

5 Stop mid burn while engraving

If you meet the situations below when stopping mid burn , which indicating the machine automatically restarted ?

Mobile phone show bluetooth disconnected

The indicator of the machine is flashing or blinking

How to deal with it ?

The exact reason is a loss of power supply, so plz try our adapter ( plug) or change a 5V 2A adapter to test

 

6 Laser Light cannot work ?

File setting  –>Laser Adjustment –> Turn on the laser light –> Adjustment Auto to check if it can be normal
