What Is The Function Of Gate, Globe, Check Valves?

Gate valves are used to shut off the flow rather than regulation. There is  no obstruction in the flow path when it was fully open, so it lead to  very low flow resistance.             

The main function of a globe valve is to start, stop, or regulate the flow.   A globe valve always works as an on/off valve, and it also can be used for  throttling .                       

A Check Valve is automatically operated  by the force  of the medium flow itself .The main function is to prevent the medium from flowing back.
