EPR Semi Conducting Tape

EPR Semi Conducting Tape from Yamuna Densons includes the substrate material of nylon, polyester, or woven PET coated on both surfaces with a cross-linked semiconductive compound. Such semi-conducting tapes are used to equalize the field current in the vicinity of the power conductor or core in order to avoid a dead point and ensure electrical contact with the earthing system. The method decreases the electrical stress on the insulating material and ups the performance, thereby avoiding the electrolytic corrosion of any metallic armoring layer in a high-voltage cable.
