How Sunland Builds Its 2 Piece Forged Wheels

1. Premium 6061-T6 Aerospace-Grade Aluminum Billet

Every 2 piece forged wheel manufactured at Sunland begins with a solid 6061-T6 aluminum billet. This is not a recycled or remelted alloy. Instead, it is aviation-grade material with a certified chemical composition, selected specifically for its superior forging characteristics.

The use of 6061-T6 billet allows the finished wheel to achieve the grain density, tensile strength, and structural integrity required for high-performance automotive applications.

2. High-Pressure Forging of the Center Disc

The wheel center is forged using high-tonnage hydraulic press equipment. During the forging process, the aluminum grain structure is compressed into a dense and directionally aligned lattice.

3. Precision CNC Machining

After forging, each center disc undergoes multi-axis CNC machining.
