The anode carbon block (also known as carbon anode block or electrolytic anode carbon) is a crucial component in aluminum production, manufactured from premium petroleum coke and coal tar pitch. Our pre-baked anode blocks offer exceptional performance in harsh electrolytic environments with temperatures exceeding 950°C.

The production of our carbon anode blocks follows strict industrial protocols:

 

1. Raw Material Preparation

We source ultra-low sulfur petroleum coke (S content <1.5%) and high-quality coal tar pitch (QI content 6-12%) to ensure product consistency.

 

2. Precise Formulation & Mixing

Our proprietary mixing technology achieves:

 

Optimal binder content: 14.5-16.5%

Homogeneous paste temperature: 160±5°C

3. High-Pressure Forming

Using 3000-ton vibro-compaction presses, we achieve green density of 1.65-1.72 g/cm³.

 

4. Controlled Baking Process

Our 72-hour baking cycle features:

 

Precisely controlled heating rate: 15°C/hour

Maximum temperature holding at 1150°C for 48 hours
