Big Ceiling Fan for Farm
Large ceiling fans, often referred to as High-Volume, Low-Speed (HVLS) fans, are a vital addition to agricultural settings such as barns, poultry houses, dairy farms, and other livestock facilities. These fans are designed to provide efficient air circulation over large areas, ensuring proper ventilation, temperature control, and overall animal comfort, which are essential for maintaining healthy
In the late 1990s, William Fairbank, a professor at the University of California at Riverside, and Walter K. Boyd, founder of MacroAir Technologies, invented and patented a new type of circulating fan, first called a High-Volume, Large-Diameter (HVLD) fan.
The world’s first HVLS fan was invented in 1998. The University of California – Riverside(UCR) needed a solution to efficiently cool dairy cattle in the hot summer moths. Walter and Eddie came up with a large fan cooling solution. It is a new type of cooling and circulating fan–the world’s first HVLS Fan. This type of fan was originally developed for agricultural applications, so early research focused on the benefits of HVLS fans on dairy production.
What specifications are most used for farm?
As a good ventilation and cooling equipment, big industrial fans are also widely used in large farms. Such like dairy farms, feedlots, hatcheries, etc. The HVLS fans can improve air quality, dehumidify and deodorize. It helps to increase milk production and hatching rate. Also can reduce the case fatality rate of livestock. Refer to specification, commonly used for dairy cattle barn is 24ft(7.3m) and 18ft(5.5m). Usually the choice of specification depends on the size of place.
