In an industrial dust collection system, the Filter Bag Cage is the critical structural element that keeps the filter media open during the filtration cycle. A poorly made cage is the leading cause of premature bag failure.  If filter bags are not fitted to the wire filter cage properly, or if Dust Collector Filter Cages are not replaced when they become rough or rusty, the efficiency and service life of the filter bag media will be reduced.  Regular preventive maintenance that includes inspection and replacement of damaged Filter Bag Cage keeps baghouse dust collectors running efficiently and saves major baghouse repairs in the future.

Dawei engineers premium-grade Filter Bag Cages designed to optimize airflow and maximize the service life of your dust filter bags.

Main components of the filter bag cage

Filter Bag Cage is a cage-like structure welded by metal steel wire (usually carbon steel or stainless steel) through special equipment, usually with a circular cross section. The main components include:

1. Top ring: connected with the ceiling for positioning and hanging.

2. Bottom ring: protect the bottom of the bag from being trampled and twisted, and ensure a certain fixed distance from the bottom.

3. Longitudinal reinforcement: a plurality of steel wires distributed longitudinally are the main supporting structures.

4. Support ring: annular steel wire distributed horizontally, which is used to increase the overall strength and prevent positive and negative pressure deformation.
