Firewall Conflicts in QuickBooks Multi-user Mode

  

One of the most common reasons QuickBooks Multi-user Mode fails is firewall interference. If the firewall blocks QuickBooks Database Server Manager, workstations can’t connect to the company file. To fix this, open Windows Firewall settings and allow QuickBooks ports. Adding QuickBooks to your antivirus exceptions list may also help. After adjusting security settings, restart QuickBooks services on the server. By removing these restrictions, multiple users can once again access files seamlessly and without connectivity problems.
