Membrane Filter Press
Our membrane filter press is designed to provide efficient filtration and high-performance dewatering with advanced diaphragm squeezing technology. It features filtration areas from 30 m² to 600 m², filter plate sizes from 630 mm to 2000 mm, and working pressures up to 0.8 MPa, meeting different processing requirements.
Built with durable PP filter plates and a reliable hydraulic system, this membrane filter press offers stable operation, excellent filtration efficiency, and a longer service life. It helps reduce filter cake moisture content, improve production efficiency, and lower operating costs.
A Filter Press Machine is widely used for solid-liquid separation in various industrial applications, including wastewater treatment, chemical processing, mining, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
1. Product Overview
The JINGWO Membrane Filter Press is designed for projects that require deeper dewatering and lower filter cake moisture than a standard chamber press can normally achieve. After the primary pressure filtration stage, the membrane plates expand by compressed air or hydraulic medium to squeeze the filter cake again, forcing out more residual liquid.
This design is especially valuable for municipal sludge, mining tailings, chemical slurry, coal washing, metallurgy, pharmaceutical and food-related filtration projects where cake dryness, disposal cost, transport cost or recovery efficiency is a key concern.
JINGWO can configure pneumatic membrane squeezing, hydraulic membrane squeezing, PLC automatic control, explosion-proof components, automatic plate shifting, automatic cloth washing and matching auxiliary systems according to the customer’s material and site conditions.
2. Working Principle
A membrane filter press combines normal pressure filtration with a secondary squeezing stage. The membrane stage improves dewatering efficiency by applying additional pressure directly to the formed filter cake.
● Plate closing: recessed plates and membrane plates are compressed to form sealed filter chambers.
● Primary filtration: slurry is pumped into the chambers and liquid passes through the filter cloth while solids remain in the chambers.
● Cake formation: a stable cake layer forms on the cloth surface during the filtration cycle.
● Membrane squeezing: compressed air or hydraulic medium expands the diaphragm to squeeze the cake and discharge additional filtrate.
● Optional drying or washing: air blow, cake washing or other process steps can be added when required.
● Automatic discharge: the press opens, plates shift, and the drier cake is discharged manually or automatically.
3. Main Structure and Feature
Heavy-Duty Frame for High-Load Operation
The frame is welded from reinforced carbon steel and designed to support high clamping force and repeated filtration cycles. Anti-corrosion coating helps protect the equipment in harsh industrial environments.
PP Chamber Plate and Elastic Membrane Plate Combination
The plate pack combines PP chamber plates with elastic membrane plates. The membrane plate expands after the primary filtration stage, providing secondary squeezing to improve cake dryness and filtration efficiency.
Pneumatic or Hydraulic Membrane Squeezing
Pneumatic squeezing is clean and suitable for projects where oil contamination must be avoided or explosion-proof design may be needed. Hydraulic squeezing provides stronger squeezing force and is suitable for heavy sludge, tailings and high-solid materials.
Full-Process PLC Control
A fully automatic membrane filter press can integrate automatic closing, feeding, filtration, membrane squeezing, pressure holding, plate shifting, cake discharge and cloth washing. The touch screen can display pressure, time, cycle steps and alarm information.
Explosion-Proof Configuration Available
For chemical, coal, oil, gas or dust environments, the system can be evaluated with explosion-proof motor, explosion-proof control cabinet, explosion-proof hydraulic station and suitable safety components according to the project requirement.
Matched Filter Cloth for Cake Release
Membrane press performance depends heavily on filter cloth selection. JINGWO can recommend polyester, polypropylene, nylon, monofilament or non-woven cloth according to permeability, abrasion, pH, temperature and cake release requirements.
