Working Principle of Opened Type Vane Compressor

Opened Type Vane Compressors are a kind of positive displacement rotary compressor that operate using a set of vanes mounted in a rotor, which rotates inside a cylindrical chamber.

Operating Steps:

Air Intake:

As the rotor spins, centrifugal force pushes the vanes outward against the chamber wall, creating air-tight compartments between each pair of vanes.

Air Compression:

As the rotor turns, the volume of each air compartment decreases as it moves through the chamber, compressing the air inside.

Air Discharge:

The compressed air is then pushed out through the discharge port at the end of the compression cycle, delivering steady, pulse-free airflow.

The open design typically refers to an open-frame construction (without soundproofing enclosure), which allows easy access to internal components for visual inspection, cooling, and maintenance.
