Spherical Lens
Spherical lens, also known as a single lens, is an optical lens with a curved surface that converges or diverges light. They are widely used in imaging applications. Conjugate ratio, lens shape, radius of curvature, lens material, transmittance, wavefront aberration, scattered light, and type of coating are all features that must be considered when selecting a lens.
Types of Spherical Optics
There are two main types of spherical lenses: concave and convex. Concave lenses are thinner at the centre and thicker at the edges, while the opposite is true for convex lenses. At HS Optics, we routinely produce both types of spherical optics for a variety of imaging applications. The different formats we produce include:
Poly lenses are called convex lenses. It is thicker at the centre than at the edges. Convex lenses come in several shapes and sizes depending on how they look and work:

3. Meniscus lens (concave-convex lenses)
