Steel grating

Steel bar grating (also called steel grid plate or bar grate) is an open-mesh structural panel manufactured by orthogonally joining load-bearing flat bars and cross bars through pressure welding or press-locking. The result is a rigid, open-grid surface that simultaneously delivers load-bearing strength, ventilation, drainage, and anti-slip performance — all at a weight roughly 70% lighter than solid steel plate of equivalent bearing capacity.

At Wanquan Wire Mesh, our steel grating is produced from Q235B carbon steel in standardized production workshops located in Anping County, Hebei — the heartland of China’s wire mesh manufacturing industry. Every panel passes strict in-line quality inspection before shipment, conforming to ISO9001 and international project specifications.

Key Features

High Strength, Lightweight: Approximately 70% lighter than concrete for equivalent load-bearing capacity, reducing structural loads and saving costs.Superior Ventilation and Drainage: Features an open area ratio of 60%–80%, preventing water and dust accumulation while offering self-cleaning properties.Anti-slip and Durable: Serrated bearing bars provide an anti-slip coefficient of ≥0.8; hot-dip galvanization ensures corrosion resistance and a long service life.Easy Installation: Modular design with bolt-on fastening allows for simple assembly, disassembly, and maintenance.
