QJPC Series Steam Turbine Maintenance Turning Gear

Steam Turbine Rotor Turning Gear for Power Plant Maintenance

The QJPC Series Steam Turbine Maintenance Turning Gear is a specialized electric turning device designed for steam turbine rotor maintenance in thermal power plants. It is used during turbine shutdowns to rotate the entire shaft system safely and efficiently, improving maintenance quality, reducing outage time, and eliminating manual wire-rope pulling methods.

Suitable for steam turbine units from 50 MW to 1000 MW, the QJPC turning gear provides high output torque, smooth rotation, low noise, accurate stopping positions, and forward/reverse operation. It is available in upper-mounted and lower-mounted configurations to meet different installation and maintenance requirements.

Features of the upper-type turning gear:

1. The upper-type turning gear is installed using the screw holes of the fixed bearing housing cover or the original working turning gear. The turning gear pinion meshes with the turbine large gear above the cylinder split surface. Adjusting the turning gear moving housing ensures that the pinion inside the housing is in an engaged or disengaged state with the turbine rotor large gear. 1. The turbine rotor can be lifted into and out of the cylinder without being removed from the maintenance turning gear.

2. The turning gear has a large output torque, smooth rotation, no noise, accurate stopping point when turning the turbine rotor, convenient stress release, no coasting phenomenon, and ensures accurate and reliable measurement data.

3. The operating control box allows for forward and reverse turning of the turbine rotor. The upper-type turning gear outputs a speed of 2 r/min. With jacking oil, the turbine rotor can be turned continuously for extended periods.

Features of the lower-type maintenance turning gear:

1. The lower-type turning gear is fixed using the screw holes of the original fixed working turning gear. The turning pinion meshes with the large gear at the lower part of the cylinder’s split surface.

2. The lower-type maintenance turning gear can be installed and used without opening the bearing cover at the turbine working turning gear.

When the turbine working turning gear malfunctions, the lower-type turning gear can replace it. The bottom-loading turning gear has an output speed of 2 r/min, high output torque, smooth rotation, low noise, and accurate stopping point for the turbine rotor, with no coasting. It can rotate the turbine rotor continuously or in short bursts in both directions.

3. The bottom-loading turning gear is designed with a clutch. When the rotor needs to be lifted out or into the cylinder, operating the clutch ensures that the turning pinion and turbine turning gear automatically engage or freely disengage without needing to release the turning gear’s moving housing.
