Ratchet Emergency Turning Gear

The electric ratchet Turning Gear for steam turbines is a specialized maintenance device used in large thermal power plants and nuclear power plants during steam turbine maintenance. When power plants shut down steam turbine units for maintenance, using this equipment improves maintenance quality, shortens maintenance time, reduces the labor intensity of workers, and also enhances safety during maintenance work.

1. The XQPC-100 electric turbine turning wheel trolley uses a ratchet drive. This trolley can be used as a maintenance turning wheel during unit overhauls or as an emergency turning wheel after the main unit is shut down. (Note: This turning wheel must be used with the unit’s jacking oil system in operation.)

2. The electric ratchet maintenance turning wheel trolley is easy and simple to install, fixed to the flange interface of the original unit’s manual ratchet turning wheel trolley.

3. The electric turning wheel trolley is designed with a clutch mechanism and a safety self-locking function. Moving the clutch handle engages the small ratchet of the turning wheel with the large ratchet of the rotor. The turbine rotor can then be turned by operating the electrical control box.

4. The electric ratchet turning wheel trolley turns the rotor in the direction of the turbine rotor’s working direction; the ratchet turning wheel cannot be reversed. 5. When reversing, the small ratchet and large ratchet will automatically disengage and stop the turning. When the rotational speed of the turbine rotor’s large ratchet exceeds that of the small ratchet in the turning device, the small ratchet will automatically disengage from the turbine’s large ratchet, stopping the turning.

5. The surface hardness of the small ratchet’s meshing surface in the electric turning device is lower than that of the turbine’s large ratchet, ensuring that the ratchet turning device does not damage the rotor’s large ratchet during operation.

6. The electric ratchet turning device is equipped with a dedicated electrical control box to ensure safe operation. A frequency converter is used to control the output speed of the turning device, and overload protection is provided.

7. The reducer of the electric maintenance turning device is a speed-regulating motor with an output speed range of 0~10 rpm. It is equipped with an electrical control box, and the turning should be smooth, with forward rotation, jogging, and start/stop functions. The rotor should stop accurately at the designated position without coasting.

8. The portable electrical control box is compact, lightweight, flexible in operation, and has a wide range of movement.
